- To guard / keep watch over, read kān (first tone) - 派人看守仓库 (pài rén kānshǒu cāngkù) send someone to guard the warehouse.
- Trap: 看 is kān not kàn here. Also a noun for a jail guard, and 看守所 (kānshǒusuǒ) is a detention center.
