How it is used
- The number of times / frequency of occurrence - 次数越多越好 (cìshù yuè duō yuè hǎo) the more times the better, 减少次数 (jiǎnshǎo cìshù) reduce the frequency.
- Counts how many times an action happens; 次 (times) + 数 (number).
- Contrast 频率 (pínlǜ, frequency/rate over time); 次数 is a plain count of occurrences.
