How it is used
- Wisdom - deep insight and good judgment - 古人的智慧 (gǔrén de zhìhuì) the wisdom of the ancients.
- Distinct from 智能 (zhìnéng, machine intelligence/smarts) and 聪明 (cōngming, cleverness): 智慧 is profound, admirable wisdom, often moral or philosophical.
- Also used in tech marketing (智慧城市, smart city) where it borrows the "smart" sense.
