How it is used
- Two senses. Unintentional: 无意中发现 (wúyì zhōng fāxiàn) discover by chance. Having no intention: 无意参加 (wúyì cānjiā) have no wish to take part.
- Distinguish from 无意识 (wúyìshi, unconscious). Contrast 故意 (gùyì, deliberately) for the 'accidental' sense.

- 这毫无意义。 Zhè háowúyìyì.That's quite meaningless.
- 他说的话根本毫无意义。 Tā shuō dehuà gēnběn háowúyìyì.What he says is total nonsense.
