- Dogma / rigid doctrine - 教条主义 (jiàotiáo zhǔyì) dogmatism, 死守教条 (sǐshǒu jiàotiáo) cling rigidly to dogma.
- Usually pejorative: rules followed blindly. Also an adjective, 教条 = dogmatic. Note the reading jiào.
