How it is used
- To indulge without restraint, or to let someone run wild - 放纵自己 (fàngzòng zìjǐ) let yourself go, 放纵孩子 (fàngzòng háizi) spoil/over-indulge a child.
- Carries disapproval, unlike neutral 放松 (relax). Also an adjective: 生活放纵 (shēnghuó fàngzòng) a dissolute, undisciplined life.
