- To get involved in or meddle with an affair - 别插手别人的家务事 (bié chāshǒu biéren de jiāwùshì) don't meddle in others' family matters.
- Usually negative - interfering where you're not wanted. Contrast 插嘴 (butt in verbally); 插手 is stepping into the action itself.
