How it is used
- To formally accuse or bring charges - 向法院控告对方 (xiàng fǎyuàn kònggào duìfāng) file a charge against the other party in court.
- Legal register. Contrast 指控 (zhǐkòng, to allege/charge) and 控诉 (kòngsù, denounce publicly): 控告 is lodging a formal accusation or suit.
