How it is used

- Both physical touching (接触到电线 touched the wire) and figurative contact/interaction with people, fields, ideas. 亲密接触 close contact.
- Distinguish from 联系 (liánxì, to contact/keep in touch): 接触 is coming into contact/being exposed; 联系 is reaching out to communicate.
