How it is used
- Literally a handle, but in practice almost always figurative: something incriminating held over someone - 抓住把柄 (zhuāzhù bǎbǐng) get something on sb, 落下把柄 (làxià bǎbǐng) give sb a handle against you.
- Think 'leverage/dirt', not a physical grip (that's 把手).
