- To make a round trip, go there and back - 往返机票 (wǎngfǎn jīpiào) a round-trip ticket; 每天往返于两地 commute between two places daily.
- Travel-and-ticketing register; contrasts with 单程 (dānchéng, one-way). Note 返 is fǎn.
- For casual 'go back and forth' in daily speech, 来回 (láihuí) is more common; 往返 is the ticket/schedule word.
