How it is used
- To treat / deal with someone or something in a certain manner: 认真对待工作 (rènzhēn duìdài gōngzuò) treat work seriously.
- Usually pairs with a manner word (认真, 严肃, 平等) plus the object; it's about attitude toward the object.
- Contrast 对付 (duìfu, cope with/handle an opponent or problem) - 对待 is about how you regard/treat, not tackling.
