How it is used
- 'Everyone' as a group being addressed or referred to - 大家好 (dàjiā hǎo) hi everybody, 大家一起来 let's all come.
- Refers to the people present or in a known group, unlike 每个人 (each individual) or 所有人 (all people, exhaustive).
- Often the subject of a collective action or greeting.
