- Noun meaning "the majority," almost always modifying a following noun: 多数人 (duōshù rén) most people, 多数情况下 (duōshù qíngkuàng xià) in most cases.
- Often intensified as 大多数 (dà duōshù) "the great majority."
- Don't confuse with 多样 (duōyàng, diverse) - 多数 is about quantity/count, 多样 is about variety in kind.
