How to remember 多少: 多 many + 少 few = how many.

How it is used
- Ask quantity, no upper limit - 多少钱? (duōshǎo qián) how much money?
- For a small expected count (under ten, e.g. people or days) prefer 几 (jǐ): 几个人 how many people.
- Literally 'many-few'; as a statement 多多少少 means 'more or less / to some degree'.
