How it is used
- Physically sturdy and solid - structures, materials, defenses: 坚固的桥梁 (jiāngù de qiáoliáng) a sturdy bridge, 城墙很坚固 (chéngqiáng hěn jiāngù) the city wall is solid.
- Distinguish from 坚硬 (jiānyìng, hard to the touch): 坚固 is about durability/won't-collapse, 坚硬 is about hardness of the material.
