How it is used
- A member of a group, esp. of the Communist Youth League - 共青团团员 (Gòngqīngtuán tuányuán) a Youth League member; also a member of a delegation/troupe.
- In China the Youth League sense is the most common; otherwise just a rank-and-file group member. Neutral/formal.
