How it is used
- To urge / exhort with instructions - 反复嘱咐 (fǎnfù zhǔfù) repeatedly urge; 妈妈嘱咐我注意安全 (māma zhǔfù wǒ zhùyì ānquán) mom told me to stay safe.
- Caring, insistent advice from someone close, usually spoken. Warmer than the formal 告诫 (gàojiè, to admonish).
