How it is used
- A full year of age, esp. a baby's first birthday - 孩子刚满周岁 (háizi gāng mǎn zhōusuì) the child just turned one.
- Counts actual completed years (Western reckoning), as opposed to the traditional 虚岁 (xūsuì), which counts you as 1 at birth.
