How it is used
- 'To cut up / carve into parts' - 分割土地 (fēngē tǔdì) to partition land, 不可分割 (bùkě fēngē) inseparable/indivisible.
- Often used with 不可 to stress that a whole must not be split: 领土完整不可分割 (territorial integrity is inviolable). More physical/spatial than 分开 (to separate).
