How it is used
- 'To take action / make a move' - especially to step in and help or to strike: 该出手时就出手 (gāi chūshǒu shí jiù chūshǒu) act when you should act.
- Also 'to spend/part with money': 出手大方 (chūshǒu dàfāng) generous with money; and 'to sell/offload' goods: 尽快出手 (to sell off quickly).
