How to remember 兴致: 兴 excited + 致 to send = mood.

How it is used
- 'Mood / interest / zest for doing something' - 兴致勃勃 (xìngzhì-bóbó) full of enthusiasm, 兴致很高 (xìngzhì hěn gāo) in high spirits.
- Note the reading xìng (as in 高兴), not xīng. It's the felt appetite for an activity at a given moment - 没什么兴致 (méi shénme xìngzhì) not really in the mood.
