How it is used
- To care about / be concerned for - 关心家人 (guānxīn jiārén) care about family, 关心国家大事 (guānxīn guójiā dàshì) care about national affairs.
- It's caring in attention and feeling; contrast 照顾 (hands-on caretaking) and 担心 (dānxīn, to worry). You 关心 someone's wellbeing but 担心 when something might go wrong.
- Positive and warm - 谢谢你的关心 (xièxie nǐ de guānxīn) thanks for your concern.
