How it is used
- Hotel/travel vocabulary: to check in - 入住时间是下午三点 (rùzhù shíjiān shì xiàwǔ sān diǎn) check-in time is 3pm.
- Also used for moving into a newly bought or rented home - 入住新房 to move into a new house.
- More formal/written than saying 住进 (zhùjìn) in casual speech, but 入住 is the standard term on hotel signage and booking apps.
