- To repair / fix / maintain - 修理汽车 (xiūlǐ qìchē) repair a car; 修理工 (xiūlǐgōng) a repairman.
- 修 (mend) + 理 (put right); for machines, appliances, vehicles.
- Often shortened to just 修 in speech: 修电脑 (xiū diànnǎo) fix the computer. Contrast 整理 (zhěnglǐ) 'tidy up', which is not about fixing.
