How it is used
- To supply/furnish - the economics counterpart to 需求: 供给和需求 (gōngjǐ hé xūqiú) supply and demand.
- 供给 is a more formal/economic 'supply' (供给侧改革 supply-side reform); 供应 is the everyday provisioning of goods.
- Note the reading jǐ (给) here, not gěi - a common trap.
- 供给不足 (gōngjǐ bùzú) = insufficient supply.
