How it is used
- A colloquial suffix '(just) like / as if', attached after a noun/verb - 像雪似的 (xiàng xuě shìde) like snow; 高兴得像孩子似的 (gāoxìng de xiàng háizi shìde) as happy as a child.
- Often pairs with 像/好像 at the front for a vivid simile.
- Pitfall: here 似 is read shì (not sì); and it's the phrase-final 似的, distinct from adverb 似乎 sìhū.
