How it is used
- Everyone / the crowd - 众人的目光 (zhòngrén de mùguāng) everyone's gaze, 众人皆知 known to all.
- 众人 = the assembled people/the many; more literary than 大家 (dàjiā, everybody).
- 众人拾柴火焰高 (zhòngrén shíchái huǒyàn gāo) = many hands make the fire blaze high (teamwork).
