How it is used
- Referring to the physical person as a legal/safety object - 人身安全 (rénshēn ānquán) personal safety; 人身攻击 (rénshēn gōngjī) personal attack.
- Almost only appears in fixed pairs: 人身自由 (personal liberty), 人身权利 (personal rights). Formal/legal register.
- 人身攻击 means attacking the person rather than the argument - not physical assault.
