How it is used
- Formal 'matters/arrangements to be handled', usually plural and administrative - 合作事宜 (hézuò shìyí) matters concerning the cooperation, 具体事宜 (jùtǐ shìyí) the specific arrangements.
- Bureaucratic register, common in notices and contracts; the plain equivalent is 事情 (shìqing, matters).
- Typically appears after a topic word, e.g. 报名事宜 (registration matters).
