How it is used
- Not only…, setting up an escalating pair - 不仅便宜，而且好吃 (bùjǐn piányi, érqiě hǎochī) not only cheap but also tasty.
- Almost always paired with 而且/还/也 in the second clause to add more.
- Interchangeable with 不但 (búdàn); 不仅 is slightly more formal/written.
