How it is used
- 'No less than, not fewer than (a quantity)' - 参加者不下千人 (cānjiāzhě búxià qiān rén) no fewer than a thousand took part.
- Also lives in 相持不下 (xiāngchí búxià) locked in a deadlock, where 不下 = can't be resolved.
