- 'A single integrated whole' - 融为一体 (róng wéi yìtǐ) to merge into one, 连成一体 (lián chéng yìtǐ) joined into a unified whole.
- Its most common frame is X为一体, describing parts fused so tightly they act as one - 集购物、餐饮、娱乐为一体 (jí gòuwù, cānyǐn, yúlè wéi yìtǐ) integrating shopping, dining and entertainment in one.
