- Suma un total - va delante del número: 一共多少钱？(yígòng duōshao qián?) ¿cuánto es en total?, 我们一共五个人 (wǒmen yígòng wǔ ge rén) somos cinco en total.
- Suma una cuenta o una cantidad. Contrasta con 一起 (yìqǐ) juntos (hacer algo en común): 一共 = el total, 一起 = el modo.
