How it is used
- To copy out (by hand), or to copy dishonestly - 抄写 (chāoxiě) transcribe, 抄笔记 (chāo bǐjì) copy notes, 抄袭 (chāoxí) plagiarize, 抄作业 (chāo zuòyè) copy homework.
- 抄 for copying is by hand/verbatim, vs 复制 (fùzhì) mechanical duplication.
