How it came to be
A pole weapon with a saw-toothed blade on its handle. Borrowed for the word I so early that nobody thinks of the blade, but the teeth are still on the right of the character.
How it is used
- 'I / me' - 我们 (wǒmen) we / us.
- No case change: 我 serves as both subject and object. 自我 (zìwǒ) = the self.
