How it is used
- Low in position, level, or degree - 价格很低 (jiàgé hěn dī) the price is low; opposite is 高 (gāo), 价格很高 (jiàgé hěn gāo) the price is high.
- 低头 (dītóu) = lower one's head; 降低 (jiàngdī) = bring down/reduce.
- Trap: for a person's short stature use 矮 (ǎi), not 低 - 他很矮 (tā hěn ǎi) he's short.
