- To interview / gather news (journalism) - 记者采访了市长 (jìzhě cǎifǎng le shìzhǎng) the reporter interviewed the mayor; 接受采访 (jiēshòu cǎifǎng) give an interview.
- Specifically a media/reporting interview. A job interview is 面试 (miànshì) - don't mix them up.
