用法
- To follow up on something already started - 这件事我会跟进 (zhè jiàn shì wǒ huì gēnjìn) I'll follow up on this.
- Also "to follow suit / keep pace": 竞争对手也纷纷跟进 (jìngzhēng duìshǒu yě fēnfēn gēnjìn) rivals followed suit one after another.
- Common in work/business register. Distinct from 跟踪 (gēnzōng, to track/tail) - 跟进 is about staying on top of progress, not surveillance.
