用法
- Birthday - but a formal, honorific one, for revered or deceased figures - 毛泽东诞辰 (Máo Zédōng dànchén) Mao Zedong's birthday; 百年诞辰 (bǎinián dànchén) centenary of one's birth.
- Do NOT use for a friend's birthday - that's 生日 (shēngrì). 诞辰 is for commemorations of great/historical persons.
- Written register, often in memorials and anniversaries.
