- To think/act in someone's interest - 我这都是为你着想 (wǒ zhè dōu shì wèi nǐ zhuóxiǎng) I'm doing all this for your own good.
- Almost always in the frame 为⋯着想 (wèi...zhuóxiǎng) 'consider the needs of'. It is thoughtfulness on another's behalf, not just 'thinking'.
