- Exists essentially only in 饺子 (jiǎozi) - the boiled/steamed stuffed dumpling eaten especially at Spring Festival.
- Count them with 个 (yí ge jiǎozi) or by the plate 一盘饺子 (yì pán jiǎozi).
- Don't confuse with 包子 (bāozi, leavened steamed buns) or 馄饨 (húntun, wontons in soup) - 饺子 has a thin unleavened wrapper, pinched shut.
