- A wheel, and by extension things that rotate or take turns. 轮子 (lúnzi) wheel, 轮船 (lúnchuán) steamship, 轮胎 (lúntāi) tire.
- 轮流 (lúnliú) to take turns - 轮流值班 (lúnliú zhíbān) to take shifts. As a measure word 轮 counts rounds/cycles: 第一轮面试 (dì-yī lún miànshì) the first round of interviews, 新一轮 a new round.
