- 'To plan/scheme; a strategy' - 谋求 (móuqiú) / 谋取 (móuqǔ) to seek (advantage, position), 谋生 (móushēng) to make a living, 参谋 (cānmóu) a staff officer or to give advice, 阴谋 (yīnmóu) a plot.
- 足智多谋 (zúzhì-duōmóu) means resourceful and full of stratagems. Note 谋害 (móuhài) is to plot to kill, 谋杀 premeditated murder.
