- To wind/wrap around, and to pester/entangle - 缠绕 (chánrào) to twine around, 缠着 (chánzhe) to cling to/pester (孩子缠着妈妈 the child clinging to mom).
- 纠缠 (jiūchán) means to be tangled up in / to pester persistently; 缠绵 (chánmián) means lingering (illness, or tender feelings); 难缠 (nánchán) means hard to deal with.
