- To steal, and stealthily/secretly - 盗窃 (dàoqiè) to steal, 窃取 (qièqǔ) to steal (secrets, power), 行窃 (xíngqiè) to commit theft.
- 窃窃私语 (qièqiè-sīyǔ) means to whisper secretly; 窃听 (qiètīng) to eavesdrop/bug; 窃喜 (qièxǐ) to be secretly pleased. The 'stealthy' sense is very productive.
