- A posted list/ranking - 排行榜 (páihángbǎng) a ranking chart/leaderboard, 光荣榜 an honor roll.
- 榜样 (bǎngyàng) = a role model/example: 树立榜样 (shùlì bǎngyàng) to set an example.
- 金榜题名 (jīnbǎng-tímíng) = to pass the imperial exam / succeed in exams (get your name on the gold list).
- 标榜 (biāobǎng) = to flaunt/tout oneself as, usually with a negative tone.
