- To hate/resent, or to regret bitterly - 仇恨 (chóuhèn) hatred, 怨恨 (yuànhèn) resentment, 憎恨 (zēnghèn) loathe.
- 恨不得 (hènbude) = to wish desperately one could (do something impossible): 恨不得马上到 (hènbude mǎshàng dào) can't wait to get there instantly.
- 悔恨 (huǐhèn) = deep remorse. The opposite pole of 爱 (ài) in 爱恨情仇 - 我爱你 (wǒ ài nǐ) I love you.
