- Two threads: cloth hangings - 帐篷 (zhàngpeng) tent, 蚊帐 (wénzhàng) mosquito net; and accounts - 帐 (=账) 记帐 (jìzhàng) keep the books.
- The money sense is now usually written 账. 算帐/算账 (suànzhàng) = to settle accounts, also 'to get even'.
