匀 yún equal
How it came to be
A wrapping stroke closed round two short marks of the same length. The two marks are the point: whatever is inside has been split so that neither part is larger.
用法
- Bound morpheme for 'even, uniform' - chiefly in 均匀 (jūnyún) evenly distributed: 涂抹均匀 (túmǒ jūnyún) spread it evenly.
- As a verb it can mean to share out/spare a portion: 匀出一点时间 (yún chū yìdiǎn shíjiān) spare a little time.
